TODAY'S RACE CARDS AT MUSSELBURGH

Backers of shorter-priced runners enjoyed a largely productive afternoon at Musselburgh, where the market called the tune for much of the seven-race card. Fille Unique (4.00) provided a fair result in the 14:05 between the two market-leader wins, before Woohoo (10.00) offered the afternoon's clearest reminder that the market is never infallible, landing the eight-runner 15:15 at a price that punished those who had looked no further than the principals. Tattie Bogle (5.00) reasserted order in a well-attended ten-runner 15:50.

Spirit Catcher and War Memorial completed the Musselburgh card in the 16:25 and 17:00 respectively, the latter filling the day's largest field of 12 runners. Across 59 runners and seven races, it was a broadly market-friendly afternoon punctuated only by Woohoo's 10.00 success - a single note of caution in an otherwise rewarding day for those who sided with well-fancied runners.
